As Captain Ron Says.....

22 March 2012 | Palm Coast, FL
Mike
"Its the tides... they can work with ya or against ya..." Well, the winds were decent again today but the tides were definitely against me. As I approached the Ponce de Leon Inlet I had the incoming tide in my face and then, after I passed it, I had the outgoing tide IN MY FACE! For someone who claims to be a musician, sometimes my timing stinks.

The wind helped to counter it somewhat and it finally relented after I got past Daytona. By the time I reached Palm Coast Marina, they were closed but they had arranged to have some liveaboards in the marina direct me to my slip. Again, I made it before nightfall.

Here's a boat that I noticed on previous trips up and down. It definitely stands out in contrast to the well-manicured waterfront properties in the area. I suspect that many of the neighbors aren't too thrilled that its there. It's apparent that people live on the boat and I really wonder who it is. I love the cartoon cat on the superstructure!
