Long Time No Sea

05 December 2009 | Charleston, SC
Mike
I got up and continued on to the Charleston City Marina, where I planned to rest up and hopefully get better. When I still was no better after four days, I took a cab to the hospital and was admitted.

I underwent surgery for a fistula in my lower abdomen which had caused a bowel obstructioin and severe infection. I was released after three weeks and, within a few days was re-admitted for blood clots in both lungs. This stay lasted 5 days before I was released again on blood thinners. Any questions?

Anyway, now it looks like I'm going to be staying here for the forseeable future to receive follow-up treatment from my doctors and hopefully recover completely. Consequently, you won't be hearing much from me for a while.
