Hello Mainland!

04 February 2011 | Key West, FL
Just wanted to drop a line to let everyone know whats happening. I'm still here in Key West and things are going pretty well. I have been working regularly on the Yankee Freedom II as a deckhand. I have also managed to pick up a weekly happy hour show at Grunt's near the corner of Caroline Street and Whitehead. Its a cool little laid-back local joint and the owners are great.

Norma seems to be enjoying her new home. Sometime very soon, I need to rent a scuba tank so I can scrub her hull and change her zinc. Her bottom paint seems to be getting a little tired and I will have to build in a hall out in the spring to giver her a fresh coat.

Right now, my plan is to leave here probably sometime in May and head back to North Carolina. We'll see how that turns out. Until then, I'll keep checking in. Here's one of those famous KW sunset pics to warm you up.
