Hey everybody. Even though I haven't done much in the way of sailing lately, I figured I owed you all an update. I'm working part-time at my marina. Also, this time I've managed to land a regular playing gig two nights a week at Captain Tony's. I also have an audition coming up this Friday to (hopefully) sneak into the rotation at Willie T's.
This year I was here for Fantasy Fest and for the power boat races. Also I was finally able to have Norma down here for Meeting of the Minds. Thats something I've dreamed about since the first time I played here with the Boat Drunks in 2004.
Boat-wise, I rented a tank and some weights and dove on the boat last week. I replaced the prop zinc and cleaned the hull at the water line. My next project is to hunt down a bedevilling coolant leak in my engine.
My goal for this winter is to put away some money and to play music as much as possible. I also plan to try to do enough writing to put out another CD next summer. In the mean time, I'll try to update the blog at least once a month. Here's a picture of me playing at Captain Tony's
