OK....we're enjoying our little stay here on the island. I thought would tell you a little more about it. First of all, it's pronounced..... "Melbunn".. Sorry, inside Joke... It's pronounced "Mackinaw" like Mackinaw City. I never got around to asking why it's spelled differently.
It has a fort on the island that was the site of the first battle of the War of 1812. It also has a great marina and a lot of cool bars and restaurants. We managed to find a few of them (including the Pink Pony) and then find our way back to said marina a few times.
Anyway, enjoying some R&R! Here's a pic looking up from the marina.
