Bottoms Up

22 October 2008
We are a family of four (that includes twin preschoolers), that is interested in starting a new life on water.
We're avid cottagers and boaters, and are looking for a change of scenery.
We are looking to purchase a sailboat and spend our free time on Lake Ontario. Thus far, we have taken a very pragmatic approach by taking various sailing lessons through Humber College, and reading books on what to look for in a sailboat, in addition to talking to anyone with an opinion on the matter.
We have been somewhat surprised by the number of family and friends who think sailing is an unrealistic activity for a young family, and this has done nothing more than motivate us further to prove them wrong. Anyone of you can be a testament to the idea that anything is possible, if you think it so.
Vessel Name: Figment of my imagination
Vessel Make/Model: More than I can afford
Hailing Port: Toronto

About: We're still wet behind the ears. I have taken a beginner CYA keelboat class, and hubby Bob was an avid windsurfer. We're collecting thoughts and searching under cushions to collect spare change for this illustrious sailboat that awaits our fate.
