Finally heading north away from La Paz. Most of my boat projects are done. Stayed in La Paz for a month after getting the boat in the water at Guaymas.
Lots of new stuff, chart plotter, auto helm, AIS transponder, new standing rigging and a new arch to mount my solar panels.

Let me say a bit about the arch. It was designed and built by a welder named Sergio. He works with Danni Gonzales at Pacific Threads in La Paz. I am very happy with the work and would recommend him to anyone. I think it was very reasonable as well. Sergio speaks only Spanish but he works with Alejandro who is fluent in English.

My stay at La Paz was highlighted by meeting old friends again from last year on dock 3 at Marina Palmira.
Terry and Heidi, and Rosie (the cat) from Cetus
Jim and Diane from Prarie Oyster
Wally and Crcket from Stella Blue
Dave Nieuwstadt from Free Spirit
Joe and Sharon from Lucky Lady Too
and new friends
Rod and Jane and Tucker (the guard dog)

My fellow yacht club members were theare, Jim and Connie Merritt.
I am currently following them to Santa Rosalia where another club member is waiting.

More later,

Marv Fritts
Roksan
