I bought fresh, made to order by Juliette, Conch Salad at Montagu Beach Fish Market four portions for $20. I also bought fresh grouper for $ 25, enough to make four meals. Montagu Beach is at the east end of the island with the local fish market. It is open every day. Juliette is from Rolleville, she works with Mr. Miller from Long Island. They always welcome a chat and tell you their story.

Cafe Matisse, downtown Nassau on Bank Lane, came highly recommended by Joan Mann. Without her tip we would have never found this secluded spot in the heart of Nassau. A restaurant where Hawaiian shirts and business suits fit nicely next to each other. The cozy bahamian style house with courtyard makes customers comfortable and stay for a while. The menu is mostly Italien and very creative. My curry linguini with a Ginger Lemonade and carrot salad was excellent. Definitely a place to indulge and lose yourself for a while.

On the way from the Turks and Caicos to Georgetown we hit something submerged like a pressure treated pole.We felt a little vibration on the way to Staniel Cay, where I saw the damaged prop. Horizons has a full keel and to damage the prop is almost impossible. The so called "work horse prop" turns left and is not in stock it has to be ordered, which takes about 7-8 weeks at a cost of $4000. Alex Cartwright our nice diver took the prop of and remounted it for $150. He also drove Paul with the prop to the shop, where it was repaired for $500 ,and he picked it up the next day. We tried it out at the marina at about 1100 RPM, it was vibration free. I have to say we always meet nicest people.
