Sweet Little Morrow Bay
10 October 2015
Yesterday (Friday) offered us an early arrival into Morrow Bay due to our schedule. Wow, what a treat! We rafted to another sailboat at the Morrow Bay YC dock, and were promptly greeted by Rick - the volunteer for that day. After getting checked in we received access to nice showers and laundry facilities.
After a stroll into town to sample the local brewery offerings, we picked up a few groceries and headed back to the boat. Since 3 of the 5 boats on the dock were fellow Ha-Ha'ers, lots of fun chatting about their passage to date, and their next stops en-route to San Deigo.
Then it was off the showers before heading up the the Club for their happy hour. We were welcomed by members who were very friendly, many of which had done circumnavigations on their own boats. We had a great time joining in on the free appetizers and cheap drinks. After a couple hours of sailor stories (most were true), we were off to the boat for our 5:30am departure wake up. But don't feel sorry for us, our new friends on the Island Packet 38 "Honu" departed at 3 am!
