T-Minus and counting
15 March 2016
The boat has been a flurry of activity for most of the last two months. The to-do's and check list have grown, been worked down, them grown again. However, now... the end of all the preparation is near, and you can sense the excitement of the upcoming departure. Will it be tomorrow? Not sure yet, weather and final projects will determine.
I want to SHOUT out thanks to Jody & Kristine, who worked tirelessly assembling a medical kit and an on-board pharmacy for Huzzah. Not easy to do in Mexico without the ability to speak the language. But after days walking through La Paz with a handful of prescriptions from a local doctor, that's what's they did. Amazing accomplishment by any measure. Kristine & her husband Fred were our guests, so this was not a typical vacation. Both did a ton of work during their two weeks aboard. They also helped provision the boat with a few months of food and living supplies. Five shopping carts and two taxi trips later, we are almost ready... Ken, Fred & Gerry are working projects, and will be until we cast off the dock lines.
The photo is a portion of the stores prior to being stored. Hard to believe we'll be able to eat all that......
Life is good aboard Huzzah!!
