Huahine Landfall
17 May 2016
After an easy 250 nm passage over 1-1/2 days and 2 nights, we made an early morning arrival at the population center of Huahine, the town of Fare. It quickly became easy to see why everyone raves about the Society Islands - they're absolutely beautiful. The perfect combination of the lush green hills we saw in the Marquesas, with the calm, picturesque anchorages typical of the Tuomotus. Huzzah is happily anchored in a calm lagoon from which we can see Raiatea, Tahaa and Bora Bora islands in the distance. BTW, this place has a supermarket - the size you would find in the USA! The things we take for granted back home. Lot's of exploring and sightseeing to do yet, but just wanted to let you know where we are.
Cheers from Huzzah!
