July 02 10 FYC to Saint John
02 July 2010 | Fredericton, NB, Canada - Saint John river
clear blue and a bit windy
FYC (Fredericton Yacht Club) NB to Saint John, NB - 71 nautical miles. First long day for Captain Hook - an he did not like it! He just lay there, didn't eat, didn't;t use the litter box, didn't want anything except attention. But - as soon as we tied up in Saint John - give me food, give me my litter box!
It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm and a great "motor sail" GPS speed topped 8.2 and that is great. Used about 5 gallons of diesel all day.
We were going to go on to Dipper Harbour, but the swell and the chop on the Bay was ugly - so, off at dawn's early light tomorrow.
Got a few little things done on the boat that needed doing on the way down/
More tomorrow if we make it to Saint Andrews, NB
