Been a few days, been without wifi. Moved around a bit, had a few "adventures".

May 20th, 09 - Chesapeake City to Cape May
Early to bed, early to rise. Alarm at 0445 and off the hook at 0509. Through the C&D canal in the mist at a breakneck speed of 7.8 knots! We were at the east end of the C&D at 0647. At noon there was no land in site and we had 16 feet of water. A bit different! We continued with a beautiful trip to Cape May.
We entered the Cape May canal at 1425 and almost ran aground. Thanks to someone on the NJ ferry, we were warned that we were running out of water. This is a major waterway. After picking up gas we anchored off the Coast Guard station.
Linda tried the oven. Very neat. Hot, fresh garlic bread. Tomorrow we do a 20 hour trip to Sandyhook.
