We changed our mind about the destination three times. The weather was so nice, the sun was out and the light wind was even in the right direction when it blew. We fought a 2 knot current for the first part of the day, but we hit 9.2 knots over the ground when the current finally got going the right direction.
The weather was so nice we killed the engine about half way and went for a swim. Not a long swim, but a swim in Long Island Sound, none the less.
We motor sailed for 57 miles. Longer than normal but at an average speed of better than 6.5 kts it was an easy day. We wimped out and took a mooring at the Dobson Boatyard. A tad high on the cost side, but we wanted to walk around town, get some victuals and access some wifi. The cruising guide said Noah's Restaurant was good and the guide was correct! Great service - found us a table with a 120 volt outlet and great wifi access.
Now - we finish our meal and go back to the boat to plan the next few days.
