June 11 09 - Warren Island State Park to Belfast and then on to Castine

21.5 km, 4 1/2 hours

A nice calm motor to Belfast. Tied up at the town dock and did laundry, checked wifi and then went to the US Customs to "clear the boat out of the USA" - a very easy and painless process - Chris Channel was our Customs guy and he was very profesional and helpful. THanks Chris.

The down side, we were about 20 minutes early so stopped for some ice cream and coffee a block from the Customs House. And, Linda lost half a filling from a tooth. Ugggg! So, we change plans and head for home. We are close, so may as well take advantage of using our own dentist. Got diesel and motor sailed to Castine. Winds were on our starboard bow and then on the beam - motor sailed at 7+ knots.

We anchored in Smiths Cove and had showers. Linda created a masterpiece of chicken stir fry over rice. Clean, well fed and ready for a good book. Currently reading Ian Rankin`s latest, ``Doors Open``
