We slept as late as we could. I took my time cooking breakfast. We only had 25 miles to go and the current would be with us in full force around 1400. We left at noon and at one point we were doing 8.3 over the ground, and that is good!
The seas were a flat as they come. No whales in sight, a few seals but that was all. It was high tide in Head Harbour and the climb up the ladder at the fishing dock was easy. It is a different matter when tides are down 30 feet lower. Forecast was for some rain starting around noon. It held off until about 5 pm and by then we were tied up snuggly, having cleared customs and had some crackers and cheese. This is a very protected, working harbour and other than the wakes from lobster boats coming or going, it is very calm.
It was a short day and tomorrow we go from here to Saint John, through the Reversing Falls and on to the RKYC for the night.
