Pelagic is currently located in Puerto Williams, Chile, where I am doing some end of season maintenance tasks before welcoming some friends on board for a little trip around the glaciers circuit in the Beagle channel. My colleagues on Pelagic Australis today departed for the Falkland Islands and then on towards the River Plate somewhere for a quick refit before they come back to TDF to support a winter climbing expedition. Winter began, finally, to get a grip on the region last night with a light snowfall although the promise of skiing this morning has not been realised - it'll come.
