Chris Harris
A longer blog post to come later - Pelagic departed Puerto Williams, Chile on 29 March and arrived in Stanley, Falkland Islands, on 01 April after a trip just over two and a half days. We then departed from Stanley bound for Uruguay on 07 April.

We have four crew on board for this trip.

Myself, Chris Harris, as skipper, who you will know all about if you have been following along.

Jamie Plex Simpson, from the Falklands and normally Chief Engineer on the 'Pharos' a fishery patrol vessel for South Georgia. So although he spends half of his life at sea an ocean passage on yacht is a first for him.

Steve Daltrey, a Londoner, who spends most of his time climbing and sking in the Andes with the occasional sailing trip in TDF or Antarctica thrown in. For somebody who doesn't regard himself as a sailor he has an impressive amount of high latitude miles under his belt.

Craig Miranda, another Londer, who whilst between jobs stumbled upon us in Puerto Williams and found himself a berth. He has his RYA Day Skippers ticket but little experience other than that - He does seem to have a cast iron stomach and can cook, very useful assets !

We are making fair progress northwards since leaving Stanley and have now just passed latitude 47 degrees South. The good progress is probably going to slow now though as the forecast for the next few days shows very light headwinds. We'll see how that works out.
