leaving

17 June 2007
Seems like it has been forever since my last entry but not much has happened. We took Indy into Annapolis last week and picked up a mooring ball which was easy. Mike and Emily came over for dinner and as a result I felt like I had been keel hauled the next day. Anyway, the next morning Emily with a full boat of pirates circled Indy yelling "get out of bed" or "look at the bed head on that one" while the pirates shot their water cannons at us..pretty funny...hilarious actually.
We are leaving Annapolis on Tuesday!!! Finally. While I have loved being here it is TIME TO GO!!!! We are heading up to the C & D canal, down the Delaware and off shore to Martha's Vineyard. I have never been to the Vineyard or anywhere near the Cape for that matter and am excited. We are meeting my sister and Mike on the cape for the fourth....anyone reading this have any suggestions about anchorages let me know. The boat is fully provisioned and we are ready...yeehaw!
My car goes tomorrow...sad but true. It is the last piece of my former life and I gotta say I loved it! It was a silver Mercedes SUV 500 totally kitted out. I really will be very sorry to see it go.
I am going to sign off because tomorrow is a big day and it promises to be a scorcher.
I have been reading The Beans of Egypt, Maine, great book, depressing but really good.
