250 Kg of Lead and No Rubber

Our batteries were on their last legs.
We totally depend on them for all the electronics, the fridges, lighting, the windlass, the winches and furlers for the main sail and Genoa.
We have 4 huge 12v 225 ah batteries each weighing 63 kg and connected together to give us a bank of 24v.
Yesterday we went to the dock and replaced them with help from Caribe Marine. But my back still hurts!
We are still waiting for a small rubber seal for the hydraulic rear-stay tensioner which is promised for today.
As soon as it arrives we will be off before the strong winds return.
