late nights

a little breezy today
Friday 9th
went to see Mika at Playa de Raizor... we arrived as on of the support bands were finishing... "one" a ska' band not bad
Then what i can only describe as painful.... "pluslotus" took to the stage... they cant make much money as the poor singer looked like she couldn't afford any clothes, it was a cross between, electro/thrash metal/punk/shrieking.... the crowd was made up of all ages, small children to OAPs... we sat on a wall next to two elderly people, the look on the faces as "pluslotus" launched into their set, was priceless.
Mika came on at 11:00 and the crowd as they say "went wild"... hes big in Spain then.... a Spanish mother and daughter were singing hearts out, the daughter could speak a little English so was translating what he was saying, and on the other side of us was a group of girls, turned out that two of them spoke perfect English, parents are Spainish, parents moved to England and one of the girls moved back to spain after working in London for 15 years.
good night was had and we managed to stay out till 1:00
Friday 10th
have arranged to go with Gary to see Barbara sing with a group...
we go out at 10:30pm... (way past our bedtime) arrive to see "Escuchando Elefantes"... then at 12:30pm on came the main act... right let me get this right "Xoel Y Amigos?, Ivan Frerreiro Y Leiva" and Barbara was one of the backing group... we had to what till 2:00am to see her... and by that time we were pooped... we arrived back at the Marina a 3:00am... found one of the gates shut... and 3 of us decided to hop over a barrier, instead of walking right the way round.....BIG MISTAKE.... as cctv picked us up and from nowhere a big burly black security guide came running up... as our Spanish is bad and Gary could speak French... we were well and truely told off... hehe...
it was very very yesterday, a bit overcast and breezy today... i managed to get out of bed just after 8:00 to go to Gadis supermarket... to find they don't open till 9:00.. wished i had stayed longer in bed.
