Well, well, well! About ten years or so earlier that expected we fell into the right boat at the wrong time! Obviously we sold the farm to make this happen but it was one hell of a 50th birthday gift for Sharon! Isabella is currently being sought after by a fellow BOTS and I will update when she changed hands. More to come.....

Well we are working as fast as we can between the rainy days to catch up on jobs we are way behind on! We are re-sealing hatches cleaning out "wet" drylockers and cleaning out the collection of stuff that builds up in the fridge. We have some mojor work to do this season re-bedding everything including the genoa tracks to stop the leaks once and for all! HAHA! Anyway our first real jump up for the year is coming in a week and we are excited but at the same time somewhat sad. Its tough to feel so much joy in watching your freinds live there dream and cruise Mexico and at the same time selfishly want them here to share time with you. It seams like our little group just keeps shrinking as more and more friends take off or move away. Well I guess its time to stick my chin out, go buy some more pirate flags to add to the hoist and make the best of what we do have! We miss you T&J!

Well, well, well. The transfermation of becoming Tom Brown is nearly complete!
I have wanted a Miata since there inception and the right deal finnally came along! 1992 and only 60k miles! No this doesnt mean I wont be working on the boats all summer it just means trips to the parts store will be more fun! As long as I don't need to pick anything up larger than a box of cheerios!

You know, if you beef up the lift crane on the Defever, i bet you can just lift the Miata right up on deck

Well this is a really big deal for us since we are big fans of "anchoring out" and since we have solar power and lots of batteries we dont want for much. But oh how we long for HOT WATER after the first day out! I have been making lay away payments all winter on our new Honda 2000 EU and finally went to pick it up last night! I think this calls for a test this weekend? The weather is starting to really change and I have been out about a half dozen times over the past two weeks for day/bay sails on Arriana. As much fun as that is Its been way to long since Isabellas put a rail in the sea. I have been going back through our freinds blog (Eagle) to when they were up north for inspiration and to remeber why we put up with the wet cold winters up here. The winds are blowing out of the south and the sun is shinning on my solar panels. Just the kind of pick me up I need to get back into the right frame of mind to start this summers projects! More soon........

Wow its been a long time! Well since the only people who read this are in Mexico on there own boat or busy workin in Portland they might not even see it! Oh well they started stuck in a slip a long time ago... So isabellas got a new little sister! Arriana is an O'Day 20 from 1977. She has been revitalized by yours truly and is so much fun to day sail in the bay that we may get a lot more work done on Isy this summer. My goals for this year are lofty to say the least! I hope to completely strip the deck of all hardware ports and windows in order to paint and re-bed everything! I cant take another winter of putting duck tape over leaks! Stay tuned to see how far we get....
