Out for a couple of weeks
In late June, Anita’s shoulder and my eye healed sufficiently to make a little journey on Karina C.

Since the last posting we have been sailing twice. One trip was to Vancouver mostly for a visit and a little sailing practice. The second was last Sunday as a practice and introduction to Karina of our latest crewmember: Wayne. Wayne works really well. Unfortunately, he needs steady winds from the same direction. We didn't really enjoy steady winds as there was SE on Georgia Strait, but SW from Northumberland Channel. We sailed around Newcastle Island in 10-20 Knots of wind. We used all points of sail and Wayne worked very well.
Today we are going to sail to Vancouver. We need the radar fixed up a bit. Hopefully, we will be able to get service Wednesday or Friday (Thursday being Canada Day). There is a forecast SW wind but, as of 0700, there seems to be nothing out there. Oh well, it makes it easy to get out of our dock.
