Ode to Old Age

We made it back in time to do a little work on a project we have going in the back yard: a retaining wall. We have bought 4 palettes of bricks and we are about to lay them. We've hired a young man who is a very good worker and he has been ever so helpful. Today I (Jay) went to the ophthalmologist's office [...]

We splashed @ 1030 this morning. The wind was just starting to come up. Bart was acting weird and we had to plug into shore power and bleed the fuel injector pump before he would cooperate. I think I'm gonna have a look at the connections to the starter. There might be a problem there.
We got to the dock and Terry (Sunnyside) was there to help us tie up. We soon were squared away and, with lunch in our stomachs, an afternoon swim and shower feel ready to take on the next big job: cleaning and organizing the van. We might take that on after supper if we get crazy. If not, a movie and bed sounds better. Temperatures in the high 20s today. Doesn't seem like that with the wind. Among the list of jobs in our near future:
*rig the sails
*scrub the decks
*connect the depth sounder
*commission the wind indicator
*commission the aries (Wayne)
*finish commissioning the outboard and dinghy.
All of this should keep us busy for the rest of the week. The weekend has a mini-Norther coming, so we won't be in a position to travel until next Monday.
