Mothballed!

We have shut down Karina C for the winter. All has been decommissioned. We hope to get Karina C recommissioned in March 2018 and sail off to Olympia WA for our next international cruise. We had a wonderful summer on the boat and hope that 2018 will be even better. During the winter we are going to cruise [...]

Jay/warming up a bit
The galley project is complete New counter top. The cupboards below have more room and there are sliding doors for them so as not to occlude the gimballed stove.

Unfortunately Anita got a bad cold within a day or two of arriving home. So we had to slow down the work on Karina. We completed the cleanup of the galley, scheduled the motor alignment for late April in Sidney. We have replaced the entire fuel line on the heater and all is well with it for the spring. We changed the oil on the motor. All we have left is to bend on the sails, wash the decks and rinse out the bleach out of the water system so we can have water when we cruise. Our musical endeavours have also impeded progress. April is looking busy (musically) so we will have to make a push to complete all the work by April 23 (our last musical commitment for a while). We should have until the end of May to cruise. June we are back to musical stuff. July looks to be 50/50 sailing/music. Then August we are heading for Desolation Sound for a month. September and October is going to be a 50/50 deal again. We will shut down in November.
