Now over halfway on our passage to Tonga. We have really lucked out with the weather. 15 - 25 knots all the way with good speeds. The seas though have made some days rather uncomfortable. It's reminiscent of the Indian Ocean rather than the Pacific. Confused washing machine stuff that makes doing things downstairs rather a trial.


Unfortunately one of the stainless steel bolts attaching one of the two braces for the davits had work hardened and it let go. Our temporary fixit with lashings of spectra saved the day.

All the same we still managed to bone a New Zealand leg of lamb, marinate in harissa and barbecue for a lovely glazed succulent repast.....some of that in home made pita bread for lunch will go down well. Seems like sailblogs is back and running so we'll keep our remote posts coming. Yotreps on pangolin.co,nz also receives our positions.
