Off to Sydney

29 October 2009 | Leaving Coff's Harbour
Jane
We've just left Coff's Harbour for the trip down to Sydney. It's 240 miles and might take us 40-48 hours. A year ago we would have planned this trip for weeks. This time we got an extra pint of milk! 48 hours?? Hardly worth getting your book out!

There is no wind to speak of but we're doing 6 knots as there is a 2 knot current to help us on our way. We may even get in late Saturday night which would be amazing. We have a berth in Princess Marina in Pittwater for a few weeks and are now on internet (incredibly I'm writing this via Virgin internet despite being at sea) and have mobile phones so back in touch with the real world. And pretty good it is too!!

About:
We are Brits but moved to Australia in 2007 and became True Blue Australians in 2014! We bought our first boat, Drimia, in St Maarten in the Caribbean back in 2009 and sailed her back to Australia over nearly a year. [...]
Extra: 17/02/15 In September 2014, illness made us give up our trip and go back to the UK for treatment. Andy has myeloma and had to have chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. He is now in remission.
