Leaving of Lavrion

I had planned to put a photo of Matilda sitting in her winter cradle for the last post from Greece but high winds meant they could not crane her out on our last morning. We left her clean and stripped bare for the lovely crane man, Dimitri, to sort out when the wind has dropped. When we come back in April, she will hopefully have been jet-washed, anti-fouled and have two new Yamaha 30hp engines and sail drives fitted.
It was good to know we were going to be back on her next year. When we cleaned up our other two boats, it was to sell them. This time, we could make plans for where we will visit next year and lots of lists of what we want to bring back with us. (Next time I WILL have a toaster!)
On our last night, we went out and had a last Greek dinner, which was fabulous of course, but I will be having a feta-free 6 months! We sat talking about the next 6 months which are going to be spent miles from anywhere in Morawa, WA, about 3 and a half hours North of Perth. I said how excited I was about the next new adventure and hoped we would like it. Andy said "Well, if we don't, it doesn't matter. There'll be another one along after that"!
Which is true. How lucky are we??!
