Mooring Dropped

28 August 2011
EV
About time to get some updates going here. Still haven't tried to get more than one picture in a post so will see if I can do that too.

A few weeks ago we finally made it to Milwaukee w/ our mooring equiptment and dropped it in the lake. The process went mostly as expected and we ended up right where we wanted to be. Now it just needs time to sink in the mud so we can have Gone swinging on it next summer.

The bouy is freshly rebuilt and floating nicely. It was water-logged when we bought it and people said "you don't rebuild them, just buy a new one". I needed to learn fiberglass anyway so gave it a go.

We tried to drop the mooring in last November but were shut down by a blizzard. Much nicer weather this time at around 75 degrees.

Well I can't figure out how to do multiple pics in a post so I guess that's it for now. I'm sure it can be done and will work on it. If not I will start a blog where it can. A picture is worth a thousand words and that saves me alot of typing. Also I don't see a pre-view option or spellcheck.
