Home in England!

Feeling very remiss that we haven't updated the blog for such a long time, but we came back to the UK in early March, and have been very busy ever since.
The tenants moved out of our house, so we thought it a good moment to come home and spend the summer here, catch up with family and friends, and avoid the rainy season in the tropics.
Brother Wind is safely afloat at Rebak Marina in Langkawi, western Malaysia, a beautiful spot, and reports from various friends seem to say everything is fine!
We had a few precious weeks to see our dear friend Johnny Byrne in hospital at the end of his life, and hopefully to have supported Sandy through the ordeal. It is at times like this that we feel very impotent when we are so far away.
We hosted my mother's 90th birthday party here at the beginning of May, which was fun with my three brothers and all the grandchildren coming and staying with us, plus a couple of my girls' boyfriends, and my mother's carer.
We were 26 in the house for three days, luckily the weather was wonderful, the best of the summer that we have had to date!
We have spent a huge amount of time getting the garden back into shape, it had been sadly neglected, but it is now my favourite time of year and our roses are flowering, and in spite of the weather everything looks amazing.
We have just put the house back on the letting market, so hope that new tenants will materialize soon, although we don't plan to go back to Malaysia until October.
Meanwhile we have a busy June ahead of us with weddings, Ned's graduation (we hope!) and my brother's 60th birthday party!
We may even be lucky enough to help brother Tim deliver his boat from Malta to Greece at the end of the month.
All for now, the blog will resume in October, so watch this space!!
