A fantastic sail today of about 32 Nm north and back to Bequia, this time into Friendship Bay on the south side of the island. This will be a one night stop to take in the scenery before heading around to Admiralty Bay and Port Elizabeth tomorrow in order to clear out through Customs and Immigration, and take on more fresh water, prior to departing for Martinique on Tuesday morning. This unfortunately will be our last visit to Bequia for many years as once we have dropped off Mark T in Antigua, we will probably only venture as far south again as Martinique. before our return back across the Atlantic in May. So, we'll make the most of the next few days here which has been one of our most memorable islands in the Grenadines. After enjoying a few sundowners in the Moskito Beach Bar, we returned to the boat early for dinner. This was not without incident! Whilst trying to launch the dinghy, in the dark, from the beach back into the sea, we did not see or hear the two massive waves wich swamped us as we were getting on board. Everything and everyone was dreched from head to toe,and on returning th QUASAR IV, we realised we had 8 inches of water in the the dinghy, and one live fish! After 15 minutes of bailing, all evidence of the incident were removed, the tea had brewed, and clothes were strewn across the deck drying out. Still, there was one good thing; it was dark so the remainder of the people in the Moskito Bar didn't see what happened! That would have ben unbearable!
