Whilst all of you in England are having a warm, sunny time at the moment, here in Bermuda we are engulfed in some rather nasty weather that is preventing us from leaving this fantastic island for a few days yet. Our weather picture above sums up the snag - 35 knot winds, gusting 45 knots at times, with heavy rain, a very rough sea state and poor visiblity. It actually makes very little difference to us at the moment as our spare genoa is not yet back from repair. The weather is easing by Wednesday, and we should be on our way by Thursday morning. Yesterday, we took the local bus from St George's and headed into Hamilton, the capital, before taking another bus out towards the western end of the island to the Royal Navy Dockyard. With the sun shining and fine Porter Ale in the Frog and Onion pub, we saw some great views from the bus on the way along the coast. The trip back from the dockyard was by boat to Hamilton, then bus to to George's. Today has been a relaxing day on the boat, making sure we do not go adrift from our anchor in the incredibly strong winds!
