Today was more unusual than most, since we had two hours of comfortable sailing when the wind shifted off our beam. We were able to make 4+ knots in 10 knots of wind, The special advantage by having the sails up was the stability it gave us while traveling in lumpy seas. We traveled 41 miles, ending up in Otard Bay where we will wait out the rain and strong wind (and 2-3 meter seas) tomorrow. Sunday will be better, and we'll travel to Langara Island on the NW tip of Haida Gwaii before jumping over Dixon Entrance to Alaska.
