Midnight Watch
18 July 2016 | Off Obstruction Island, WA coast
George Stonecliffe
Sue takes the Mid-Watch from midnight to 0300. It's mostly cloudy with a near-full moon, meaning little light for visibility. Single-digit wind on the nose which doesn't do much for our mainsail. Sea state has flattened down! 9 fishing boats are messing around 7 miles to the west. A single boat heading south passed us on our right. I see a flashing white light forward of our port beam which is the light at Obstruction Island. All is well. Need to post this, and get some sleep.
