It's seven days after Left Hip Replacement Surgery. I'm pleased to be off the Oxycodine addictive pain medication after 2 days. I just finished taking a nose ointment to medigate the slight staph infection before and after the hospital stay. I have a couple pain medications still being taken, and a few others handling the healing process. I get to wear the beautiful white knee high compression socks to control the blood clotting that occurs around the incision. Applying copious amounts of ice packs at the incision and just above the left knee, helps keep the swelling down. Heal, heal, heal! I'm walking with and without a cane. Trying to do multiple walks of 1/2 mile in the neighborhood. Tomorrow I get to remove the bandage off the incision. Goodie!
