What a difference between the last 36 hours of Small Craft Advisory sailing, and waking up in Drake's Bay: flat calm, a gentle breeze, a few boat projects (Racors serviced, hydraulic steering topped off, compass light wire reconnected), and most importantly a full eggs and bacon breakfast by our master chef: Sue. As we motored under the Golden Gate Bridge, it was noticeably smoky from the recent forest fires in Marin County north. We anchored in the Swimmer's Cove conveniently adjacent to Ghiradeli Chocolates. Yum. We had dinner at a crab house called Capurro's. Then dessert was a no-brainer at Ghiradeli's. Ah the Cruising Life! It can be hard to adjust to the special cuisine of new places!
