We are anchored with 130 other boats, and the winds are blowing 20-25 off the local mountains after dark just to make it more chilling. I didn't mean cold: it's 77F! All our boat portals and hatches are open letting in the fresh air. We spent the day after arriving, taking care of a few problems. A Racor filter needed servicing for the engine. The spinnaker had hour-glassed, and we needed to unravel the mess. We launched the dinghy with motor. And with much help by our crew, Peter, we discovered a clever way to mount one of the tires for dinghy landings that would not interfere with the outboard motor. We swam by the boat in 78 degree water. Sue made sure that Peter and I showered, and then she cooked brownies for dessert after dinner. This day of respite has been a needed change.
