4th of July Weekend

We are spending a week here in Yorktown, VA at York River Yacht Haven. In addition to having floating docks in a protected area, it has a pool to cool off in and courtesy car to get provisions. It is just across the river from Yorktown and not far from Williamsburg and Jamestown. We hope to go visit them before we move north to Deltaville.
Jim retired from O-I, and they have a plant in Toano, near Williamsburg. He contacted Charles Cochran, a friend from LA, who is the current plant manager and invited he and his wife Dawn over to the Marina. We had dinner at the restaurant at the marina. I can't believe I had steamed blue crabs. They were delicous but very messy to eat, especially in front of guests. Oh well. Jim and Charles had a good time talking about old times. Jim likes talking about our new life style, but Dawn and Charles have 4 years to go before being eligible to retire.
Sunday our son (Jim III) and his friends arrives to spend a couple of nights with us. We all enjoyed watching the fireworks from the cockpit of the boat. We just stayed at the marina, because we heard it could be very congested coming back to the marina.
