truly low land
07 December 2014
Hauled the anchor at first light and motored for 10 hours and 57 miles with a bit of adventure in the middle. As we were passing isle of pines, sc approaching Charleston at low tide the boat ahead of us (c soul from montana) called us on the radio to say they were aground. We waited another 5 minutes and we ran hard aground. Able to get off with help of a passing boat wake and still made the bridge opening. Hurrah!! Several more bumps in the channel and safely through. Think they need to dredge or we'll stick to high tide. Waved to Charleston and anchored for a yummy scallop dinner made with scallops we froze in n.c. on to beaufort tomorrow and hopefully some wind.
