While sitting on our blue chairs in the cockpit having coffee Wednesday morning, the 19th of March, Kevin noticed the little bird pictured above; it had a rest on our davits and then made its way to the stern of the dinghy into the sunshine for a nap while we had breakfast, and then promptly flew off just in time for us to launch the dinghy. Along the shoreline on our way to explore the nearby hurricane hole we got to see huge sea fans and coral heads. The outboard motor wasn't running smoothly without a little choke while throttled back, so upon our return Kevin cleaned the carburetor before moving Grace the few miles to gorgeously picturesque Moraine Cay. The passage there included a final mile or so of rolley seas on the beam, and upon arrival seeing s/v Morning Star anchored in advance of us dancing around not pointed into the wind, all of this making us question whether we wanted to make it a day stop and move elsewhere for the night; Marty and Clint quickly greeted us as they were dinghying around. While we were walking the beautiful beach and shallow waters, seeing many live conch and small fish, Marty and Clint extended an invitation aboard for dinner; we decided the conditions seemed okay since Grace was pointed into the wind and sitting flat in the calm water, so we accepted. Another outboard carb cleaning occurred. Kevin gave one of the two heart beans he found that day to them, and conditions remained pleasant until we returned to Grace after dinner. The rolley-ness of the sea state did not allow for a good night of rest for the crew of either boat.
