In the flat conditions at 8:00 AM on Saturday, March 21st, we headed for our first transit through the shallow Don't Rock Passage on the inside of Whale Cay. The lowest depth reading we saw was 6.7 feet, one hour before a three foot high tide. At 10:00 AM we were anchored for our first time at No Name Cay, where we got to dinghy ashore and give the island pigs the food we brought along for them. Following a walk along the beach, we did additional exploring around the island by dinghy and got to see a large Southern Stingray, many starfish and perhaps hundreds of sea biscuits. In the early afternoon we motored to Coco Bay. During dinghy exploration there we got to see one ray (possibly a Yellow Stingray), numerous large starfish, and several other fish. We got invited to happy hour by Rita and Will on m/v Magic, their very largely comfortable power catamaran, along with the other neighbors Murray and Heather of s/v Windswept IV, and Bob and Lisa of s/v Windswept (yes, there were two boats anchored next to each other with that name).
Above: Don't Rock as we passed by it.
