I awoke yesterday morning to a heavy thumping through the boat and the sound of wild cackling. It turned out the guys were dealing with a 35 lb tuna, coating every surface of the cockpit in blood spatters --- a scene from the Texas chain saw massacre. We've watched a movie on the last two nights. Last night, the snack was tuna sashimi.

The wind is gradually backing around through the north and we expect it to be on the nose by this evening. Unfortunately, we'll be arriving in the vicinity of Beveridge reef shortly after dark, so we'll have to heave to and wait for the morning light. Right now, at 9 am, we have 68 miles to go.
