Acknowledgement and Thanks

We would like to acknowledge and thank all of our family and friends that take the time and effort to read and follow our blog, and send us your lovely messages. We love getting your messages, knowing that the time and effort put into the blog is worthwhile and being enjoyed by yourselves as you share with us our adventures.

The blog is not always easy to write. Most times on anchoring, and discovering we have internet connection the energy and time is often hard to find as other chores are required to be attended to before lifting anchor again. However the blog has become high on the priority list.

It can feel very isolated out here as we take on the forces of Mother Nature in, what at times, feels like a little small canoe. But we have full faith in Kestrel knowing she was built for ocean cruising, it's just a matter of time for us to learn the skills to handle her in the wildness out here. Receiving your messages gives us courage and inspires us to "soldier on" during the "not so enjoyable times". It also feels like we have support from you when shit hits the fan. Fat lot of good you are when an extra deck hand is needed to help drop the main mast in strong winds that are over powering Kestrel. However we will settle for the spiritual connection we encounter during these times.

Keep reading and keep those messages coming, we just love so much hearing from you all. I read every one, often more than once. Please take this as a personal thanks and we would like to extend a personal invitation to anyone of you that would like to come on board and travel any part of this adventure with us, not for too long though, she's only a little yacht and personal space is shared by all.

Make sure you check out the map and gallery tabs, which are on the left hand side.

Take care
Love to you all
Julie & Gerd
