Up to this point the hike was very easy. We walked up a service road until we got the cell/radio tower.
The hike was wonderfully rocky with lots of pine needles strewn about. It reminded me a little of Ontario.
It was a challenging but exciting climb.
It was a `girls only` hike. Magali, our fearless leader (on the left), organized and lead the expedition. She is a fanatical climber, who has climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The vistas were stunning.
Ancient fishing weirs, that are still in use today.
Maia, taking a break. We boat people simply don`t have the leg strength that land folk do. We had to take many breaks.

The climb was great and then this view!! It was like the icing on the cake! This view is of the east side of the island, opposite to where we are moored.
