Nothing like some M&M's and an iPod to make night watch go well!

Heading Back North

Got the boat ready and left Marina Ixtapa to head back up the Coast to Nuevo Vallarta and Paradise Village Marina. Great day -- nice breezes and moderate swells. A quick run back up the Coast before we head back to work and school, so no time for enjoying any anchorages on the way. Hopefully some nice sailing and fishing, though!

Diving Isla Grande

Snorkeling is awesome! Seeing all the fish is just breath taking. Today we went snorkeling late in the morning. I saw lots of fish but in this picture I saw a wild looking eel! It was amazing how clear and warm the water was. There were some waves but mostly it was calm. For some reason being in the water makes me feel great!

Made Ixtapa early AM, slowing down to arrive in the sunlight. Isla Grande was completely deserted. Last year, about a dozen boats were anchored in the two anchorages, but this year no one. Of course, the crowd built up during the day with the usual touron craziness. We got in some excellent diving/snorkling on the live coral reef in the western anchorage, even sighting two spotted snake eels.
