Day cruise with Ohana to Carrizal near Manzanillo. Left just before sunrise to get some good fishing in. Two jack cravelles ("toros") later, Alec spotted this dorado heading for and hitting one of our lines. Beautiful smooth seas and a nice, but short, sailing breeze made for a an enjoyable 5-hour passage from Tentacatita to the delightful, completely undeveloped anchorage at Carrizal.

Wonderful time back in Tentacatita for the holiday season. Perfect weather and the bay is teeming with sea life. Whales and dolphins in the anchorage and lots of luminescence at night. Caught up with cruising friends Ohana for boogie boarding, trips to La Manzanilla and just hanging out and talking. Ohana arranged for a local panga fisherman to take us out in the bay for dorado fishing, where we enjoyed great success and Alec landed his first dorado -- a nice 45 incher!

Haven't had time to cruise for a while, but we're thrilled to be back on KEWA for a week. Usual summer heat and humidity, but we had a couple of those magical sunny Banderas Bay days with refreshing sea breezes for sailing. Alec caught our first needlefish casting at anchor, having earlier brought aboard a bonito while trolling. The pristine waters offered delightful swimming, and at our favorite temperature -- 90 degrees! The days melt away on another spectacular KEWA cruise.

Great Christmas Eve sail heading out of Banderas Bay with the new genoa. The wind died as we exited the Bay, but then picked back up after rounding Cabo Corrientes. We hooked into something fun, probably a crevelle jack based on the way he fought, but he went under the boat and broke the line. Hopefully Santa will find us again this year out on the coastal Pacific.
