Our intention was to stay at Camden Haven for a day of R & R and leave for Sydney on Saturday but when I looked at the forecast for the next couple of days decided to go Friday morning. This involved getting John and Geoff out of bed around 0600 and getting on the move quickly as I wanted to cross the bar on an incoming tide. We then sailed the 156 nautical miles to Sydney in one go taking 24 hours. It was a bit uncomfortable for most of the night as we had a 15 to 20 knot NE wind and an Easterly swell and wave which set up a real corkscrewing motion. It was great to sail into Sydney harbour a little after dawn on Saturday morning and although we were tied and needed showers we all agreed it had been a great trip. John had been aboard for 2 weeks and is great company and Geoff had done the entire trip from Sydney and back and as usual was a great help and companion. It's really difficult to get someone who is willing to stay aboard for the whole trip and without Geoff's assistance I would not have been able to do this cruise and any of the other extended cruises in Kirralaa over the last few years. (Continued...)

We are currently at sea after spending the night at Coffs Harbour. I had intended going through to Sydney in one go however decided we were all to old for 2 nights at sea when we could stop over and get some sleep each night. Our destination for tonight is Camden Haven so we left Coffs at 0300 this morning and should be there around 1600 today. (Continued...)
