A g'day fishin' !

14 April 2012 | Estero Quitralco
Lucas
I woke up and went outside. We were in a small bay, onshore there was a old hut and lots of trees. There was a boat there yesterday but it left this morning. Anyway, we had breakfast and got ready for a walk. We went up the river, at the end of the Northern Arm of the Estero, and we went fishing. Dad was the first to get anything. He caught a small fish but it got away. Soon (half an hour), we got to the farm and pulled the dinghy up.

Did I mention that the owner of the boat was the owner of the farm? I half expected some farm dog to come running to us. We walked up the farm house. We went close to the first gate, two farm dogs came running up. They were long haired, one white and on black, medium size, cute doggies. They were really friendly and really, really fluffy. We followed them to the farm house.

We met Manuel and Roberto and we had coffee and tea. We went back to the dinghy, got our fishing rods and stuff and went back to the farm house. Roberto came with us. Then we started to walk across a small suspension bridge and then across a paddock. When we got to the end of the meadow we went fishing. Nina and I went exploring and climbing trees. Mum caught a trout and we moved along to another place. Dad caught another fish there. Mum went off to another fishing place and caught a fish. Then she moved on and caught another. We got 3 trout and one salmon. My mouth was beginning to water since we still hadn't had lunch. We walked back and we had more tea, coffee and mate and fresh bread. I was really hungry so I attacked the bread. The bread was fried but looked baked. When we went back to the boat we had sashimi and fried fish and potatoes. Good night.
