At anchor for the night
14 November 2012 | Minerva Reef
Lucia
Last night we had light winds and after midnight we started the engine. We had a exciting morning looking at the eclipse of the sun using the sextant and we also caught a big mahi mahi. We have plenty of fish for the passage. This afternoon we got winds of 10-17 knots and we sailed to Minerva Reef. It's a very strange feeling because there is only water around the boats and no land. The closest land is in Tonga at 250 miles away. One of the things to do here is to go fishing but this time we will need to pass it.
There are other 13 boats in the atoll and some of them are going to leave tomorrow. We are not sure when we will leave, maybe in one or two days.
