Martinique, Le Marin

09 March 2012
Le Marin is one of the largest anchorages that we have seen to date - I mean hundreds of boats! It is one of the Caribbean's largest yacht centers. We stopped in a few marine shops and found some parts that we had been searching the Caribbean for months. Marc was very excited to get back to the boat and install his new treasures.

As you may or may not know, I am very sensitive to smells. To get your laundry done, in most of the Caribbean, you drop it off dirty and pick it up the next day clean and folded. It is very hard to find a Laundromat where you can do it yourself, and the cost is almost the same as the full service laundry. You may think this is wonderful, who likes doing laundry?? In many aspects you are right, but with my sensitive nose I have had difficulty with the smell of the detergent that is sometimes used. To make a long story short, I found a great laundry service at Bichik in Le Marin with wonderful smelling detergent. The stop in Le Marin was an overall success - Marc found some of his parts and I had great smelling clean laundry.
